This Cookie Policy explains how PlexEvent uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our website and platform.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
They allow websites to:
- recognize your device
- remember preferences
- improve functionality
- analyze usage
- support security
Cookies may be set by PlexEvent or by third-party providers.
2. How We Use Cookies
PlexEvent uses cookies to:
- operate and secure the platform
- enable user authentication and sessions
- improve performance and usability
- analyze how users interact with the Service
- measure marketing effectiveness (where applicable)
3. Cookie Categories
3.1 Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for the operation of PlexEvent.
These cookies enable:
- login and authentication
- session management
- security protections
- core platform functionality
These cookies are always active and do not require user consent.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the platform.
These cookies may collect:
- pages visited
- session duration
- device and browser information
- interaction data
We may use:
Google Analytics
Analytics cookies are only activated after user consent.
Users are responsible for configuring their browser settings if they wish to limit or block cookies.
3.3 Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising effectiveness and understand user interaction with marketing campaigns.
No marketing cookies are currently deployed on the PlexEvent platform. This category is available in the consent panel for future use only. No data is collected unless this category is both explicitly enabled and a marketing tool is actively deployed.
Marketing cookies are only activated after user consent.
3.4 Behaviour Analytics Cookies
Behaviour analytics cookies help improve usability and user experience.
PlexEvent integrates Microsoft Clarity for behaviour analytics. Where Clarity has been activated for the site, it is gated behind your Behaviour consent — it is only loaded, and only sets cookies or collects any data, after you explicitly enable the Behaviour Analytics category in the consent panel. It is never active on the basis of Essential, Analytics, or Marketing consent alone. Clarity masks text and form-input content by default.
These cookies are only activated after user consent.
4. Cookie Consent
When you first visit PlexEvent, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner.
You can choose to:
- accept all cookies
- reject all non-essential cookies
- customise your preferences individually using the Manage Preferences option
Non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing, behaviour tracking) are not activated unless you provide explicit consent.
You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon (⚙) at the bottom-left of any page.
5. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used on the PlexEvent platform, subject to your consent choices:
- Google Analytics 4 — analytics (requires Analytics consent; IP anonymisation enabled)
- Microsoft Clarity — behaviour analytics (requires Behaviour consent; loads only after you enable the Behaviour Analytics category; text and inputs masked by default)
- Bunny Fonts — privacy-friendly font delivery (no personal data collected)
- Pusher — real-time communication for live Q&A features
- Stripe — payment processing (subscription billing pages only)
- AWS S3 — file storage for event photos and uploads
These providers may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies. See our Subprocessors page for the full list.
6. Managing Cookies
Users can manage cookie preferences through:
- the cookie banner
- the cookie settings panel
Most web browsers also allow users to:
- block cookies
- delete stored cookies
- control cookie behavior
Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
7. Cookie Duration
Cookies may be stored for different durations depending on their purpose:
session cookies → deleted when the browser is closed
persistent cookies → stored for a defined period
8. Updates to This Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically.
The latest version will be published with the updated "Last Updated" date.
